The Cold Steel Trail Boss is compact enough to carry all day in your hand or strapped to your pack, yet tough enough for chores that would make a hatchet or tomahawk scream for mercy. Featuring a European style head with a 4″ blade and a 4 1/2″ cutting edge, it takes a big bite with every swing. Plus, it features a very sturdy, durable straight-grained American Hickory handle. In Cold Steel’s extensive field-tests in the outback of Australia, the Trail Boss was used to chop kindling, clear roads and trails, to build blinds and even to chop down a fair sized tree!

Choose the right size by following these simple instructions. The best time to measure your feet is in the evening.
1. Stand on a piece of paper against a wall with your heels gently touching the wall.
2. On the paper, mark where your longest finger ends (you may need someone to help you with this) and measure the distance from the mark to the wall.
3. Measure the other leg in the same way and use the measurements to select the appropriate size in our table.
